DEFINITION: Power door lock inoperative from the LH front side door lock switch.

Go to Power Door Locks System Check .

1. Disconnect the LH front side door lock switch connector.
2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the LH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F12.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F12.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 1 of the LH front side door lock switch connector and terminal A08 of the BCM connector C1.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit FX805.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit FX805.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Use a DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 2 of the LH front side door lock switch connector and terminal A06 of the BCM connector C1.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit FY805.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit FY805.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the LH front side door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
2. Verify that the power door locks operate properly from the LH front side door lock switch.

Do the power door locks operate properly from LH front side door lock switch?

1. Disconnect the RH front side door lock switch connector.
2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the RH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F12.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F12.

Is the repair complete?

1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 1 of the RH front side door lock switch connector and terminal A08 of the BCM connector C1.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FX805 and/or FX804.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FX805 and/or FX804.

Is the repair complete?

Use a DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 2 of the RH front side door lock switch connector and terminal A06 of the BCM connector C1.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 8

1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FY805 and/or FY804.
2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FY805 and/or FY804.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the RH front side door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the replacement complete?

1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
