Door Striker Replacement Front

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 243281  Size: SH
  1. Mark the position of the striker.
  2. Remove the lock striker plate screws.
  3. Remove the lock striker.
  4. Remove any spacers.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 243281  Size: SH
  1. Install any spacers that were removed.
  2. Install the striker.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the striker plate screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  6. Clean off the marks to the striker area.
  7. Adjust striker if necessary. Refer to Door Lock Striker Adjustment

Door Striker Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure

  1. Mark the position of the striker.
  2. Remove the striker screws.
  3. Remove the striker.
  4. Remove the spacers, if equipped.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 243433  Size: SH
  1. Install any spacers that were removed.
  2. Install the striker at the matchmark.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   4. Install the striker screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten door lock striker screws to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  6. Clean off the matchmark.
