Was the Cruise Control System Check performed?

  1. Connect the scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Select TIP SWITCH R.
  3. Press and hold the RESUME/DECEL button.

Does the scan tool display ACTIVE?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Check for a poor connection at the cruise control module connector terminal C.
  2. Replace the cruise control module if the cruise control module connector terminal C is OK.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the connector from the cruise control switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire across terminal B and terminal C of the connector.

Does the scan tool display ACTIVE?

--

Go to Step 5

Replace the cruise control switch. Refer to Steering Wheel and Column On Vehicle Service.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Locate an open circuit between S200 and terminal C of the module connector.
  2. Repair the open circuit between S200 and terminal C of the module connector.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the cruise control system operates properly.

Does the cruise control system operate properly?

--

System OK
