Was the Instrument Cluster System Check performed?

Inspect the front brake lining and sensors for wear, damage to sensors and sensor wire chafing.

Was a problem found and repaired?

Go to Instrument Cluster System Check

  1. Disconnect both LH and the RH sensors.
  2. Use a DMM and measure the resistance to ground in CKT BA3 (GRY/RED).

Is the resistance reading within the specified value?

OL

Go to Step 4

Replace the sensor(s) that failed the resistance test.

Is the replacement complete?

    • Locate the RH brake pad wear sensor connector
    • Connect one lead from the DMM to cavity 3 of the connector (harness side, BLK wire).
    • Connect the other lead to a good ground.
    • Measure the resistance.

Is the resistance reading within the specified value?

0 - 2 ohms

Locate and repair the open in CKTs BA2 or BA3.

Is the circuit repair complete?
