Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

  1. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the connector at the cooling fluid minimum capacity sensor (low coolant switch).
  3. With a DMM, measure the voltage between terminal B of the two way connector and a good ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate and repair an open ground circuit.
  2. If OK, replace the cooling fluid minimum capacity sensor.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 5

  1. Test for an open circuit XP2.
  2. If OK, replace the gauge cluster.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect all connectors and components that you previously removed.
  2. Test the low coolant indicator.

Does the low coolant indicator operate properly?

--

System OK
