Was the Instrument Cluster System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  3. With a DMM measure the voltage between the engine oil level sensor connector terminal 2 and a good ground.

Is the voltage reading within the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Test for an open or a poor connection in CKT XU600. If OK, replace the gauge cluster.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Test for an open ground circuit or a poor connection at connector C102 terminal 6. If OK, replace the engine oil level sensor.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were removed in previous steps.
  2. Test the low engine oil level indicator.

Does the low engine oil level indicator operate properly?
