2	Install the scan tool. Select SPECIAL FUNCTIONS from the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER menu. Command the speedometer gauge from 140 mph to 0 mph and then back again. Does the gauge needle respond when commanded?	--	Go to Step 3	Go to Step 4
3	Test for ABS DTC C0045. Is a current DTC 0045 set?	--	Go to A Diagnostic System Check - ABS	Go to Step 5
4	Replace the instrument cluster. Is the replacement complete?	--	Go to Instrument Cluster System Check	--
5	Test the circuit between the Electronic Brake/Traction Control Module (EBTCM) terminal 23 and terminal 23 of the instrument cluster for an open or short to ground. Did you find and repair a circuit problem?	--	Go to Step 6	--
6	Connect all connectors and components that you previously removed. Test the speedometer. Does the speedometer operate properly?	--	System OK	Go to Step 2
