Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 159432 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear license plate lamp screws from the rear fascia.
  2. Remove the rear license plate lamp from the rear fascia.

    3. Object Number: 159433 Size: SH
  3. Reposition the protective boot retaining plate (1).
  4. Roll up the rubber protective boot to reveal the bulb (2).
  5. Remove the bulb.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the bulb.

    2. Object Number: 159433 Size: SH
  2. Unroll the rubber protective boot (2) over the bulb.
  3. Use the retaining plate (1) to secure the boot.
  4. Install the rear license plate lamp to the rear fascia.

    5. Object Number: 159432 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the rear license plate lamp screws.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear license plate lamp screws until fully seated. Ensure not to strip the rear license plate lamp screws. Ensure not to strip the plastic inserts.
