For 1990-2009 cars only
- Fully extend the strut (with the wheels unsupported) in order to expose the unit for inspection.
- Look for signs of leaks in the seal cover area.
- Replace a leaking strut.
| • | A slight trace of fluid is not cause for replacement. The seal allows some fluid to pass by in order to lubricate the piston rod. |
| • | You can easily locate a leaking strut because of the fluid around the seal cover and an excessive amount of fluid on the strut. |
