Removal Procedure
- Remove the radio. Refer to
Radio Replacement
in Entertainment.
- Remove the HVAC control. Refer to
HVAC Control Module Replacement
in HVAC Systems - Automatic (Includes Electronic
and Dual Zone).
- Remove the center HVAC air outlet. Refer to
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Deflector Replacement
in Heating, Ventilation,
and Air Conditioning.
- Remove the screws securing the instrument panel (I/P) center trim panel.
Installation Procedure
- Position the center trim panel to the I/P.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws securing the I/P center trim panel.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the center HVAC air outlet. Refer to
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Deflector Replacement
in Heating, Ventilation,
and Air Conditioning.
- Install the HVAC control. Refer to
HVAC Control Module Replacement
in HVAC Systems - Automatic (Includes Electronic
and Dual Zone).
- Install the radio. Refer to
Radio Replacement
in Entertainment.
