Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 823315  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement
  2. in Body Front End.

  3. Disconnect the auxiliary transmission cooler inlet line.
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary transmission cooler outlet line.
  5. Remove the auxiliary transmission oil cooler mounting bolts (1).
  6. Remove the auxiliary transmission oil cooler.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary transmission oil cooler.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the auxiliary transmission oil cooler mounting bolts (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6.5 N·m (58 lb in).

  5. Connect the auxiliary transmission cooler outlet line.
  6. Connect the auxiliary transmission cooler inlet line.

  7. Object Number: 823315  Size: SH
  8. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement
  9. in Body Front End.

  10. Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission General Specifications Fluid Capacity Specifications .
  11. Check the auxiliary transmission oil cooler for leaks.
