The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may comment the radio displays Device Not Supported when they plug their USB flash stick (thumb drive) into the center console USB port. The cause may be that USB flash sticks with apps platform software (i.e. U3, Ceedo, MojoPac) will not function with the apps platform enabled.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Try the flash stick in another vehicle. If it does not function, suggest the customer see the flash stick manufacturer's web site to determine whether the feature can be turned off or removed in order to make the flash stick compatible with the radio.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
