🢒 Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement
Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement LS2
Removal Procedure
Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering pump reservoir.
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the push-in retainers and the front air deflector.
Compress the clamp (1)and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering cooler.
Open the power steering line routing clip (1) and remove the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Position the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the vehicle and install it to the routing clip (1).
Compress the clamp (1) and install the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering cooler.
Position the front air deflector to the vehicle and install the 2 push-in retainers to secure the air deflector to the engine cradle.
Install the push-in retainers to secure the front of the air deflector to the fascia.
Lower the vehicle.
Compress the clamp (1) and install the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering reservoir.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement LP1, LY7
Removal Procedure
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
for the 2.8L (LP1) engine or
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
for the 3.6L (LY7) engine.
Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
for the 2.8L (LP1) engine or
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
for the 3.6L (LY7) engine.
Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering cooler pipe.
Lower the vehicle.
Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid reservoir.
Remove the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering fluid reservoir.
Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering cooler pipe.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Install the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
for the 2.8L (LP1) engine or
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
for the 3.6L (LY7) engine.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
for the 2.8L (LP1) engine or
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
for the 3.6L (LY7) engine.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
