Current DTC U1000 in Radio

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When performing a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) check on a 2006 Cadillac CTS, the Technician may discover a current DTC U1000 stored in the Radio with no Radio related symptoms.

This is a normal condition. This DTC will not cause any customer concerns. No repair attempts should be made.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
