Info - Elimination of LH Hood Assist Rod

This bulletin is being revised to update the VIN breakpoint information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-08-63-004 (Section 08-Body & Accessories).

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide information regarding the design change of the hood hold open support system. The number of hood assist rods has been reduced from two to one.

Important: Any attempts to modify or add an additional hood assist rod could result in damage to the vehicle.

Vehicles built after the above mentioned VIN breakpoint will feature a high pressure single hood assist rod located on the RH side.
