J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.

  2. Object Number: 651872  Size: SH
  3. Remove the left fuel rail cover.

  4. Object Number: 1342393  Size: SH
  5. Using J 38185 slide the clamp back on the heater inlet hose.
  6. Remove the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
  7. Using J 38185 slide the clamp back on the heater outlet hose.
  8. Remove the outlet heater hose from the heater core.

  9. Object Number: 1342337  Size: SH
  10. UsingJ 38185 slide the clamp back on the heater inlet hose (1).
  11. Remove the inlet heater hose (1) from the engine.
  12. Using J 38185 slide the clamp back on the heater outlet hose (2).
  13. Remove the outlet heater hose (2) from the engine.
  14. Remove the wire harness from the pipe.
  15. Remove the heater hose bracket nuts.
  16. Remove the heater hose assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heater hose assembly into the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the heater hose bracket nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m(7 lb ft)

  5. Install the wire harness to the pipe.

  6. Object Number: 1342337  Size: SH
  7. Install the outlet heater hose (2) to the engine.
  8. Using the J 38185 slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.
  9. Install the intlet heater hose (1) to the engine.
  10. Using the J 38185 slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.

  11. Object Number: 1342393  Size: SH
  12. Install the outlet heater hose to the heater core.
  13. Using the J 38185 slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.
  14. Install the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
  15. Using the J 38185 slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.

  16. Object Number: 651872  Size: SH
  17. Install the left fuel rail cover.
  18. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
