DOOR-SEAL-SIDE DOOR LOCK PILLAR UPPER (MUCKET) REPLACEMENT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 ALLANTE (V) ------------------ Some 1987 Allantes built prior to VIN 002397 may exhibit one of the following conditions:

- Excessive wear of the mucket (see figures 1 & 2).

- Mucket may stick to the door when it is opened and result in hard soft- top closing effort (see figure 3).

- Soft-top 1/4 glass interferes with mucket. This will restrict the outboard movement of the 1/4 glass assembly (see figure 4).

To repair this condition:

1. Remove hardtop and lay it on a protected surface.

2. Pull mucket off.

3. Install new mucket P/N 1645376 RH and 1645377 LH.

4. Reinstall hardtop.
