BACK LIGHT REAR DEFOGGER CONNECTOR DIFFICULT

MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 ALLANTES

Some 1987 Allante backlight rear defogger connectors may be difficult to disconnect from the hardtop. To repair this condition, use the following procedure:

1. Disconnect the backlight rear defogger connector (male connector) from the hardtop or soft top (see Figure 1).

2. Remove and discard the green connector seal (see Figure 2).

3. Remove the locking tab with a sharp tool cutting it flush to the connector surface (see Fig. 2).

4. Reconnect backlight rear defogger.

For warranty purposes, use Labor Operation T6257 at .2 hour.
