Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 1996 🢒 Roadmaster 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.3L and 5.7L 🢒 Oil Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil pan baffle nuts.
  3. Remove the bolt attaching the oil pump to the rear crankshaft bearing cap.

    4. Object Number: 11438 Size: SH
  4. Remove the following items:
    5. 4.1. Oil pan baffle
    4.2. Oil pan
    4.3. Driveshaft
    4.4. Driveshaft retainer

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 11438 Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump and the driveshaft with the retainer. Align the slot on the end of the driveshaft with the drive tang on the oil pump.
  2. Install the oil pan baffle.
  3. Install the bolt attaching the oil pump to the rear crankshaft bearing cap.
  4. Install the oil pan baffle nuts.

    5. Tighten

        â€¢ Tighten the oil pump bolt attaching to the rear crankshaft bearing cap to 90 N·m (66 lb ft).
        â€¢ Tighten the oil pan baffle nuts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
  5. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
