Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .



2. Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the rear compartment latch actuator.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) from the rear compartment lamp.
4. Remove the release clips (6) that retain the wiring harness (3) to the rear compartment lid (1).
5. Remove the wiring harness from the rear compartment lid (1).
6. Remove the assist rods from the rear compartment lid (1).
7. Remove the rear compartment sill plate trim.



8. Pull the weatherstrip (2) from the pinchweld flange.

1. Install the weatherstrip (2) to the pinchweld flange.



2. Install the assist rods to the rear compartment lid (1).
3. Install the clips (6) in order to retain the wiring harness to the rear compartment lid (1).
4. Connect the electrical connectors (5) to the rear compartment latch actuator.
5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the rear compartment lamp.
6. Install the rear compartment sill plate trim.
7. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .

Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement Buick

1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
2. Remove the rear compartment lid latch assembly. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .



3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the rear compartment lid actuator.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the rear compartment lamp.
5. Remove the release clips (6) that retain the wiring harness (3) to the rear compartment lid (1).
6. Remove the wiring harness (3) from the rear compartment lid.
7. Remove the assist rods from the rear compartment lid (1).
8. Remove the rear compartment sill plate trim.
9. Remove the wiring harness (3) from the rear compartment lid (1).



10. Pull the weatherstrip (2) from the pinchweld flange.

1. Install the weatherstrip (2) to the pinchweld flange.



2. Install the assist rods to the rear compartment lid (1).
3. Install the clips (6) in order to retain the wiring harness (3) to the rear compartment lid (1).
4. Connect the electrical connectors (5) to the rear compartment lid actuator.
5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the rear compartment lamp.
6. Install the rear compartment sill plate trim.
7. Install the rear compartment lid latch assembly. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
8. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
