The option code for the heated seats is KA1. Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times to the heated seat module from the right rear fuse block HTD ST fuse via CKT 742 (RED) and from the IP fuse block HVAC CONT fuse via CKT 41 (BRN) with the ignition switch in the RUN position. When the seat heat switch is pressed, the heated seat module seat heat switch input terminal is momentarily grounded. The heated seat module then applies battery positive voltage (B+) to the front seat heaters. The heated seat module monitors the seat surface temperature through a thermistor and maintains a pre-determined temperature. When the heated seat is off and the seat heat switch is pressed once, the heated seat module sets the heated seat temperature to HIGH. When pressed again, the heated seat temperature is then set to LOW. After the third press of the seat heat switch, the heated seat control module stops applying battery positive voltage (B+) to the seat heaters. The module also turns off the heated seats when the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
