The left and the right heated seats system consists of the following components:

    • A heating element in the seat cushion and in the seat back
    • A heated seat module
    • A heated seat switch located in the front door on the door trim panel

When the heated seat switch is pressed, the heated seat module applies battery positive voltage to the seat. The heated seat module monitors the seat surface temperature through a thermistor and maintains a pre-determined temperature. When the heated seat switch is pressed once, the heated seat module sets the seat temperature to HIGH. When the heated switch is pressed a second time, the heated seat module sets the seat temperature to LOW. After the third press, the heated seat module stops applying battery positive voltage to the heating elements. The heated seat module also turns off the heated seats whenever the ignition switch has been turned OFF.
