Did you perform the Power Mirrors System Check?

  1. Set the mirror select switch to the inoperative mirror.
  2. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe the power mirror switch between terminal M and terminal E (left outside power mirror).
  3. Position the power mirror switch to the left and then to the right.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the inoperative outside power mirror connector.
  2. Connect the DMM between terminal A and terminal B of the outside power mirror connector.
  3. Position the power mirror switch to the left and then to the right.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 8

  1. Connect the DMM between the outside power mirror connector terminal B and ground.
  2. Position the power mirror switch to the right direction.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or the short to ground in the following circuits. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems:

    • CKT 81 (WHT) (left outside power mirror)
    • CKT 881 (RED/WHT) (right outside power mirror)

Repair the open or the short to ground in CKT 82 (LT BLU). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
