Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check?

  1. Disconnect the body control module (MALL) connector C2.
  2. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the resistance between the following inoperative front door lock/window switch terminals and ground:
  3. • The left front door lock/window switch terminal  J (RED/BLK)
    • The right front door lock/window switch terminal S (RED/BLK).
  4. Press the inoperative door lock/window switch to the LOCK position.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 3

Repair an open in CKT 780 (RED/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the inoperative front door lock/window switch. Refer to Door Lock and Side Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Disconnect the body control module (MALL) connector C2.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) between the inoperative front seat/lock switch connector terminal R and ground.
  3. Press the inoperative switch to the LOCK position.

Is the resistance measure the specified range?

0-5 ohms
