Important:
• Follow the screen prompts and the instructions. • Use the EXIT key in order to change from one function screen to
another. • Do not use the YES or NO keys. Pressing YES or NO may disable
other features.
14.1. | Use the RPO chart and select the functions that are standard or optional for the particular vehicle being serviced. Failure to program the RFA module properly may cause the system to malfunction. A malfunction may cause misdiagnosis and customer complaints. |
14.2. | When selecting the functions on a new remote function actuator module on a vehicle that has Theft Deterrent UA6, select Option 3 on the scan tool. SPEED UP will appear as your only selection. |
14.3. | Select DEACTIVATE. |
14.4. | Save the options. |
14.5. | Exit the system. |
If the function is not reset, the 30-second theft lamp illumination will reduce to 2 seconds. The theft deterrent system may misdiagnose if the function is not set properly.
