Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement Buick

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 284102  Size: MH
  1. Remove the speaker grille (11) by pulling rearward.

  2. Object Number: 492605  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners (1) retaining the speaker.

  4. Object Number: 492603  Size: SH
  5. Partially remove the speaker (4).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2,3).

  7. Remove the speaker (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 492603  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors (2,3).
  2. Install the speaker (4).

  3. Object Number: 492605  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the speaker fasteners (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  6. Align the speaker grille (11) to the door trim panel.
  7. Push inward in order to fasten the speaker grille.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
  2. Remove the map pocket from the front door trim panel . Refer to Front Side Door Map Pocket Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

  3. Object Number: 492594  Size: SH
  4. Remove the fasteners from the speaker.
  5. Partially remove the speaker (1).

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the speaker (1).

  2. Install the speaker (1).
