Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement Oldsmobile with U97

1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
2. Remove the map pocket from the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Map Pocket Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.



3. Remove the speaker fasteners.
4. Partially remove the speaker (1).
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
6. Remove the speaker (1).

1. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the speaker (1).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the speaker fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

4. Install the map pocket to the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Map Pocket Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
5. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
