Radio Rear Speaker Replacement with UW6

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 421840  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the speaker fasteners (3).
  4. Turn the speaker slightly to disengage from the rear shelf tabs (1).
  5. Remove the speaker (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 421840  Size: SH
  1. Partially install the speaker (2).
  2. Turn slightly the speaker in order to engage the speaker into the rear shelf tabs (1).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the speaker fasteners (3).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connections.
  7. Close the rear compartment lid.
