Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement Inner
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the hose from the washer solvent
container.
- Disconnect the transfer hose from the washer solvent container.
2.1. | Slide the clamp down the transfer hose away from the washer solvent
container. |
2.2. | Pull the transfer hose from the washer solvent container. |
- Remove the nut from the washer solvent container.
- Remove the two screws and the washer solvent container from the
vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the washer solvent container
onto the vehicle with two screws and one nut.
Tighten
• | Tighten the two screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in). |
• | Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in). |
- Connect the transfer hose with the clamp onto the washer solvent
container.
- Connect the hose onto the washer solvent container.

Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the RH front wheelhouse panel from the vehicle. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
.
- Disconnect the transfer hose from the washer solvent container.
3.1. | Slide the clamp down the transfer hose away from the washer solvent
container. |
3.2. | Pull the transfer hose from the washer solvent container. |
- Cut two pieces of tape where the tape crosses the harness and
the hose. Pull the tape away from the harness and the hose.
- Remove two screws and the washer solvent container from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the hose from the top of the washer solvent container.
- Disconnect the hose from the washer pump.
- Disconnect the harness connector from the washer pump.
- Disconnect harness connector from the level sensor.

level sensor.
- Connect the harness connector to the washer pump.
- Connect the hose to the washer pump.
- Connect the hose to the top of the washer solvent container.
- Tape the hose and the harness to the washer solvent container
with electrical tape.
- Install the washer solvent container onto the vehicle with two
screws.
Tighten
Tighten two screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Connect the transfer hose onto the washer solvent container with
the clamp.
- Install the RH front wheelhouse panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement

- Lower the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
