Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 415963  Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACCY position.
  2. Set the wiper switch to the PULSE position.
  3. Turn the ignition off when the wiper arms are at the bottom of the innerwipe position and are not moving.
  4. Lift the wiper blade up from the windshield.
  5. Pull out the retaining latch with a screwdriver and lower the wiper blade.

  7. Remove the wiper arm from the transmission drive shaft.
  8. Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 415964  Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper blade onto the wiper arm. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
  2. Return the transmission to the park position.
  3. 2.1. Turn the ignition to the ACCY position.
    2.2. Turn the wiper/washer switch on and then off.
    2.3. Turn the ignition off.

    Important: The wiper arm is marked R or L for the right or left side of the vehicle.

  4. Position the wiper arm slightly below the stop surface of the park ramp.
  5. Push the wiper arm down onto the transmission drive shaft completely.

  7. Lift the wiper blade up to relieve pressure on the retaining latch and push the retaining latch in.
  8. Lift the wiper arm up onto the park ramp.
  9. Operate the wipers and check for proper operation.

Inspection Procedure

    • Inspect the wipe pattern. The outerwipe dimension should be 15-40 mm (0.625-1.625 in) from the tip of the driver's side wiper blade on the outerwipe to the edge of the glass.
    • Inspect the park position. Both wiper arms must be snug against the park ramps.
    • The correct the park position and the outerwipe dimension are determined with the wipers operating at low speed on wet glass.
