Did you perform the Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) System Check?

  1. Disconnect the inoperative door lock cylinder switch.
  2. With the door lock cylinder switch in the unlock position, use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the resistance of the inoperative door lock cylinder switch.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Replace the inoperative door lock cylinder switch. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) System Check

Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance between the inoperative door lock switch connector terminal B and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 151 (BLK/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the remote function actuator (RFA) module.
  2. Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance between the inoperative door lock switch connector terminal A and the RFA module harness connector terminal E11.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Repair the open in CKT 262 (LT GRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the RFA module. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.
