  1. Turn the head lamp switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the lamp control module connector C2.
  3. Measure the voltage between the lamp control module connector C2 cavity C (ORN/BLK) and ground.

the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Disconnect the lamp control module connector C1.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  3. Measure the voltage between the lamp control module connector C2 cavity C (ORN/BLK) and connector C1 cavity B11 (GRY/BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

Connect a fused jumper between the lamp control module connector C2 cavity C (ORN/BLK) and cavity F (BRN).

Do the park lamps turn on?

Replace the lamp control module.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or the short to ground in CKT 240 (ORN/BLK). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test CKT 308 (GRY/BLK) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 308 OK?
