Did you perform the Interior Lamps System Check?

1. Disconnect the rear compartment lid latch switch connector.
2. Connect a fused jumper between the switch connector terminal A (ORN/BLK) of the rear compartment lid latch and ground.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Does the rear compartment lamp light?

Test CKT 1050 (BLK) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 1050 OK?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 8

Test CKT 1732 (ORN) for an open or a short to ground between S336 and the rear compartment lamp. Refer to Testing for Continuity or Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 1732 OK?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Test CKT 737 (ORN/BLK) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 737 OK?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Replace the rear compartment lid latch switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Replace the rear compartment lamp. Refer to Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamp Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the suspect wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
