  1. Disconnect the interior dimming switch connector.
  2. Measure the voltage between the interior dimming switch connector cavity 4 (YEL) and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Measure the voltage between the panel dimming control connector cavity 4 (YEL) and cavity 6 (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

Is CKT 44 OK?

  1. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between the headlamp switch connector cavity 7 (DK BLU) and ground.
  3. Measure the voltage between the headlamp switch connector cavity 12 (YEL) and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Measure the voltage between the headlamp switch connector cavity 12 (YEL) and cavity 9 (BLK).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Remove the fused jumper.
  2. Reconnect the headlamp switch connector.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  4. Disconnect the left dimmer module connector.
  5. Measure the voltage between the left dimmer module connector cavity B (DK GRN) and ground while slowly turning the panel dimming switch back and forth.

Does the voltage vary when the panel dimming switch is moved?

Measure the voltage between the left dimmer module connector cavity D (YEL) and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Test CKT 44 (DK GRN) for an open. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.
