Removal Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 39500 Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Recharging System.
    • J 39400 Electronic Halogen Leak Detector
  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 381416  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor (2).
  4. Remove the sensor (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 381416  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the sensor (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor (2).
  4. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  5. Using the J 39400 , leak test the A/C system. Refer to Leak Testing .
