  1. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Set the A/C mode to DEFROST.
  4. Set the blower mode to HIGH.
  5. Measure the voltage between the blower motor connector terminal A and ground. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the measured voltage less than the battery voltage?

Inspect CKT 65 for an open or a short to ground.

Is the wiring OK?

Measure the voltage between the blower motor connector terminal A and terminal B. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the indicated voltage less than the battery voltage?

Go to Step 5

  1. Inspect the blower motor connector for proper terminal contact. Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis in Wiring Systems.
  2. If the contact is OK, replace the blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor and Fan Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect CKT 151 for an open.
  2. Repair the circuit as necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect connector C1 and connector C2 from the blower control module.
  2. Measure the voltage between blower control module connector C2 terminal B and ground. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the measured voltage less than battery voltage?

Repair the wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Measure the voltage between the control module connector  C2 terminal B and control module connector C1 terminal C. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the measured voltage less than battery voltage?

  1. Inspect the rear fuse block HVAC BLO MTR (blower motor) fuse.
  2. Inspect CKT 342 for an open or a short to ground. Repair the circuit as necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Measure the voltage between the control module connector C1 terminal B and ground. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

6-8 V

  1. Inspect CKT 151 for an open. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. Repair the circuit as necessary.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect CKT 754 for an open or a short to ground.
  2. Inspect the HVAC programmer connector terminal D10 for proper terminal contact. Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis in Wiring Systems.
  3. If the terminal contact is OK, replace the programmer. Refer to Programmer Replacement .

  1. Inspect the blower control module connectors C1 and C2 for proper terminal contact.
  2. If the terminal contact is OK, replace the blower control module. Refer to Blower Motor Control Module Replacement .
