  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the HVAC programmer connector.
  3. Disconnect the blower control module connector.
  4. Connect a fused jumper across the blower motor connector terminal A and terminal B.
  5. Measure the resistance between the HVAC programmer connector terminal D9 and ground. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 2

  1. Inspect CKT 754 for a short to voltage.
  2. Inspect the HVAC programmer connector terminal D9 for proper terminal contact. Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis in Wiring Systems.
  3. If OK, replace the HVAC programmer. Refer to Programmer Replacement .

  1. Inspect the IP fuse block HVAC blower fuse.
  2. Inspect CKT 761 and CKT 65 for an open or for a short to ground. Refer to Testing for Continuity or Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.
