Removal Procedure
The rear (horizontal) control bushing is serviced with the control arm
and cannot be serviced separately.
Tools Required
- Remove the control arm from the vehicle. Refer to
Lower Control Arm Replacement

- Assemble the bushing tools following this procedure:
2.1. | Assemble the J 21474-27
with a washer through the J 21474-5
with the larger diameter end over the bushing against the
control arm. |
2.2. | Lubricate the bolt threads with a high pressure lubricant. |
- Tighten the nut until the bushing (1) is driven out of the control
arm (2).
- Remove the bushing tools.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bushing in the control
arm.
- Assemble the bushing tool using the following procedure.
2.1. | Assemble the J 21474-27
with a washer through the J 21474-5
with the larger diameter end over the bushing against the
control arm. |
2.2. | Lubricate the bolt threads with a high pressure lubricant. |
- Tighten the bolt until the bushing (1) is fully seated into the
control arm (2).
- Remove the bushing tools.
- Connect the control arm to the frame. Refer to
