Removal Procedure
- Remove the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Cable in Engine Electrical.
- Pull back the rear compartment trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Body and Accessories.
- Remove the fuel pump control module attaching nut.
- Remove the electrical connector from the fuel pump control module.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fuel pump control module.
- Install the fuel pump control module attaching nut to the fuel pump control module.
- Install the electrical connector to the fuel pump control module.
- Re-position the trunk liner (1). Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Body and Accessories.
- Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Cable in Engine Electrical.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N·m
(80 lb in).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
