Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement VIN C

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



2. Remove the radiator inlet hose (1) from the radiator.
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose bracket from the radiator upper tie bar.
4. Remove the bracket from the hose.
5. Remove the radiator inlet hose (1) from the engine.

1. Install the radiator inlet hose bracket onto the hose.
2. Install the radiator inlet hose bracket onto the radiator upper tie bar.
3. Install the radiator inlet hose (1) to the engine.
4. Install the radiator inlet hose (1) to the radiator.
5. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
6. Start the engine.
7. Inspect the cooling system for leaks.

Tools Required

J 37097-A Heater Hose Clamp Tool

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



3. Remove the inlet radiator hose clamp from the radiator.
4. Remove the inlet raditor hose from the radiator.



5. Remove the inlet radiator hose clamp from the engine.
6. Remove the inlet radiator hose from the engine.

Tools Required

J 37097-A Heater Hose Clamp Tool

1. Install the inlet radiator hose to the engine.
2. Install the inlet radiator hose clamp to the engine.



3. Install the inlet radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Install the inlet raditor hose clamp to the radiator.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
6. Start the engine and checks for leaks.
