Transmission Mount Replacement Left Mount

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Support the transmission with a jackstand.

  3. Object Number: 97268  Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt from the frame to the mount.

  5. Object Number: 97301  Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolts from the mount to transmission.
  7. Remove the mount.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 97301  Size: SH
  1. Install the mount into position.
  2. Install the mount-to-transmission bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the mount-to-transmission bolts to 58 N·m (42 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.


    Object Number: 97268  Size: SH
  4. Install the frame-to-mount bolt.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the frame-to-mount bolt to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).

  6. Remove the jackstand.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

Transmission Mount Replacement Transaxle Brace

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Information.

  2. Object Number: 97306  Size: SH
  3. Remove the transmission brace bolts.

  4. Object Number: 97307  Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission brace.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 97307  Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission brace.

  2. Object Number: 97306  Size: SH
  3. Install the transmission brace bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   5. Lower the vehicle.

Transmission Mount Replacement Right Mount

Removal Procedure

  2. Support the transmission with a jackstand.

  4. Remove the nuts and bolts from the frame-to-mount.
  5. Remove the through bolt from the mount.
  6. Remove the bolts from the mount-to-transmission.
  7. Remove the mount.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the mount into position.
  2. Install the mount-to-transmission bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the mount-to-transmission bolts to 58 N·m (42 lb ft).

  4. Install the through bolt and the nut.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the mount through bolt and nut to 102 N·m (75 lb ft).

  6. Install the frame-to-mount nuts and bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the frame-to-mount nuts and bolts to 72 N·m (53 lb ft).

  8. Remove the jackstand.
  9. Lower the vehicle.

Transmission Mount Replacement Rear Mount

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Support the transmission with a jackstand.

  3. Object Number: 98417  Size: SH
  4. Remove the nuts from the mount to bracket.
  5. Remove the transmission mount bolts.
  6. Remove the transmission mount.
  7. Remove the bracket bolts.
  8. Remove the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 98417  Size: SH
  1. Install the mount.
  2. Install the mount bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   4. Install the bracket.
  5. Install the bracket bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket bolts to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).

  7. Install the nuts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 40 N·m (29 lb ft).

  9. Remove the jackstand.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
