  1. Remove the screws from the roof rail moldings.
  2. Remove the roof rail moldings from the roof.

  3. Object Number: 741621  Size: SH
  4. Position the luggage carrier side rails to the roof.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the luggage carrier side rail screws to the side rails.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the luggage carrier side rail screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  8. Remove the luggage carrier side rail trim covers from the rails using a small flat-bladed tool.
  9. Lift up on the luggage carrier cross rail levers in order to engage the cross rails into the side rails.
  10. Slide the luggage carrier cross rails to the desired position.
  11. Release the levers on the luggage carrier cross rails to lock them into position.
  12. Install the luggage carrier side rail trim covers to the slots in the rails, pressing until fully seated.
