Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 761264  Size: SH
  1. Remove the luggage carrier side rail trim covers from the rear of the rails.

  2. Object Number: 741620  Size: SH
  3. Lift up the levers on the luggage carrier cross rails to unlock them from the side rails.
  4. Remove the luggage carrier cross rails from the side rails by sliding them rearward.

  5. Object Number: 741621  Size: SH
  6. Remove the luggage carrier side rail screws from the side rails.
  7. Remove the luggage carrier side rails from the roof.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the luggage carrier side rails to the roof.

  2. Object Number: 741621  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the luggage carrier side rail screws to the luggage carrier.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the luggage carrier side rail screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Lift up on the luggage carrier cross rail levers in order to engage the cross rails into the side rails.
  6. Slide the luggage carrier cross rails to the desired position.
  7. Release the levers on the luggage carrier cross rails to lock them into position.

  8. Object Number: 761264  Size: SH
  9. Install the luggage carrier side rail trim covers to the slots in the rails, pressing into place until fully seated.
