When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

'Error' message or unable to set up radio after install.

You may receive Calibrate or Error message on the radio or possibly a DTC after what appears to be a successful radio set up after installing a radio. Use 2003 as the model year in the Tech 2 and you should not receive an error message or DTC. This Tech 2 software problem is being investigated for a resolution using 2004 as the model year on the above listed vehicles.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
