Removal Procedure
- Remove the bolts from the front fender liner at the front bumper fascia.
- Remove the nut from the stud at the rear of the front fender liner.
- Remove the bolts/screw from the front tab of the front fender liner at the lower engine compartment side rail.
- Remove the bolts from the front fender liner at the rear of the fender.
- Remove the fender liner from the fender.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fender liner to the wheelhouse opening over the stud.
- Install the nut to the stud at the rear of the front fender liner.
- Install the bolts to the front fender liner at the front bumper fascia.
- Install the bolts to the front fender liner at the rear of the fender.
- Install the bolts from the front tab of the front fender liner at the lower engine compartment side rail.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the front fender liner stud nut to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the front fender liner to front bumper fascia bolts to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the front fender liner to rear of fender bolts to 7 N·m
(61 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the front fender liner to lower engine compartment side rail
bolts to 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).
