  1. Ensure that the headlamp IP dimmer switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder lock.
  3. Close all of the vehicle doors.
  4. Press the LOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter 1 time.
  1. All of the doors lock.
  2. The courtesy lights turn OFF.

Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter 1 time.

  1. The driver's door unlocks when the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed 1 time.
  2. The courtesy lights remain lit for 36-44 seconds.

Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter again, within 5 seconds of the initial press.

All of the doors unlock when the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed 1 time.

Press the ALARM button on the keyless entry transmitter.

The headlamps flash and the horn sounds alternately for 2 minutes or until the ALARM button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed again.

Only Rear Lid Release Mode Operates with Transmitter

Press the REAR COMPARTMENT button on the keyless entry transmitter.

The rear compartment releases.

Complete the following actions in order to diagnose the remote unlock verification feature:

  1. Ensure that the key has been removed from the ignition key cylinder lock.
  2. Close all of the vehicle doors.
  3. Press the UNLOCK button 1 time while observing the headlamps and listening to the horn.

The following results are based on the current remote unlock verification mode:

    • Mode 1:
        Feature disabled. The headlamps do not flash and the horn does not sound when the keyless entry transmitter is used to unlock the doors.
    • Mode 2:
        Horn sounds when the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed.
    • Mode 3:
        The headlamps flash when the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed.
    • Mode 4:
        The headlamps flash and the horn sounds when the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry is pressed.
