Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 394422 Size: SH
  1. Turn the Ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Remove BPMV and EBCM/EBTCM assembly (2) from the BPMV mounting bracket (4). Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement for removal procedure.
  3. Remove the two BPMV mounting bracket nuts (3) and one bolt located near the bottom and one nut (1) located at the top of the BPMV mounting bracket (4) to the strut tower.
  4. Remove the BPMV mounting bracket (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 394422 Size: SH
  1. Install the BPMV bracket (4) to the strut tower.
  2. Install the one bolt and three nuts that attach the BPMV mounting bracket (4) to the strut tower.

    3. Tighten

        • Tighten the lower two BPMV mounting bracket nuts (3) and bolt to 10 N·m (7 lb. ft.).
        • Tighten the top nut (1) for BPMV mounting bracket (4) to strut tower to 3 N·m (26 lb. in.).
  3. Install the BPMV and EBCM/EBTCM assembly (2) to the BPMV mounting bracket (4). Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement for installation procedure.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, engine off.
  5. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS .
