Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  3. Place the front fog lamp switch to the ON position.

Are the front fog lamps ON?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Is only one fog lamp inoperative?

Go to Step 16

Check the FRT PARK LPS fuse for an open.

Is the FRT PARK LPS fuse open?

Go to Step 14

Check the fuse 28 for an open.

Is the fuse 28 open?

  1. Disconnect front fog lamp relay 16.
  2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the switch side feed of the relay 16 and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  2. Place the headlamp switch dimmer switch in the low beam position.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the coil side ground of the front fog lamp relay 16 and battery voltage.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. With the front fog lamp switch in the ON position.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the coil side ground of the front fog lamp relay 16 and the control circuit of relay 16.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the front fog lamp switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the supply voltage circuit of the front fog lamp switch and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a fused jumper between the switch side feed of the front fog lamp relay 16 and the front fog lamps supply voltage circuit of the front fog lamp relay 16.

  1. Connect the front fog lamp switch connector.
  2. Place the front fog lamp switch in the ON position.
  3. Backprobe with a test lamp between the front fog lamp relay control circuit of the front fog lamp switch and a good ground.

Connect a test lamp between the supply voltage circuit of the LH front fog lamp and a good ground.

  3. Press the rear fog lamp switch.

Are the rear fog lamps ON?

Check the HAZARD fuse for an open.

  2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the switch side feed of the rear fog lamp relay and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the coil side feed of the rear fog lamp relay and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the rear fog lamp switch input circuit of the BCM and battery voltage.
  3. Press the rear fog lamp switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate when the rear fog lamp switch is pressed?

  1. Disconnect the rear fog lamp switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the rear fog lamp switch ground circuit and battery voltage.
