Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 1998 🢒 Regal 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console 🢒 Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the windshield side garnish moldings Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

    2. Important: Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim slowly. The retainer clips could possibly fall into the IP.


    Object Number: 182434 Size: SH
  2. Lift the IP upper trim panel up approximately 51 mm (2 inches). Pull rearward to release IP upper trim panel retainers.

    3. Object Number: 182418 Size: SH
  3. Rotate the sun load sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise to release it from the IP upper trim panel, if equipped.
  4. Rotate the daytime running lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise to release it from the IP upper trim panel
  5. Remove the IP upper trim panel from the IP.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel to the IP.

    2. Object Number: 182418 Size: SH
  2. Install the sun load sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise to release it from the IP upper trim panel if equipped.
  3. Install the daytime running lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise to release it from the IP upper trim panel

    4. Object Number: 182434 Size: SH
  4. Align the IP upper trim panel locating pins and retainers to the slots in the IP.
  5. Carefully push down and forward on the IP upper trim panel to secure into place.
  6. Install the windshield side garnish moldings Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
