Check the Lower Blower fuse in the fuse block.

Is the fuse open?

Check for a short to ground in circuit 141(BRN).

Is there a short to ground in circuit 141 (BRN)?

Go to Step 3

Repair the short to ground in circuit 141 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the heater-A/C Control Assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the heater-A/C control connector C 1.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Using a test light, backprobe between the heater-A/C control connector terminal B (circuit 141) and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 12

1. Reconnect the heater-A/C control connector C 1.
2. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
4. Turn the blower motor speed to HI.
5. Use a test light to backprobe between the blower motor connector terminal A and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 10

Use a test light to backprobe between the blower motor connector terminal A and terminal B.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Replace the blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor and Fan Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor connector.
2. Use a test light to backprobe between B+ and the blower motor resistor harness connector terminal E (circuit 150).

Does the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 11

Replace the blower motor resistor. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Repair the fault in circuit 150 (BLK) between the blower motor resistor connector C1 terminal E and G 200.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Repair the fault in circuit 141 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?
